Red Hat, the makers of the Red Hat Linux distribution, have announced a new certification, the Red Hat Certified Technician. It certifies that Linux techs are competent to set up new Linux systems and incorporate these into a production network. The exam is a half-day affair and will be included in the 4½-day Red Hat Linux System Administration exam from January 2003.
